CAB’s Tips & Tricks

Radius Bucket Adjustments

The CAB Report®’s Radius Tab identifies locations of roadside activity. This isn’t to be confused with a fleet’s full scope of operations (where the fleet is willing, licensed, and insured to operate).

Specifically, the radius heat map can be filtered to show inspections, crashes, and violations. The violations can be broken down further by driver, vehicle, and hazmat. Users even have the option to customize their radius buckets. In the CAB Report®’s toolbar, choose “My Account” then “Profile”.

Among various entries the user can make their own is the Radius Bucket. Plus, you can also set up radius alerts here too.

Radius bucket settings interface

The following image shows the 4 radius buckets this user chose. For a more minimal view, you can collapse both the bucket levels and locations by using the menu on the left of the screen.

In that same menu, the “Add Location” button offers the option to include another address. Remember, you can drill the data down to the county level. If the heat map isn’t for you, the original stagnant map is still available too.
